I have a crush on Gingham! Especially if it’s black and white! I came across these farmhouse style kitchen chairs and I knew they would be painted black, and the seats covered with black and white gingham. I am glad to know my initial design idea was perfect for the set!

The chairs drew me in with their size and shape.  They are nice and large, and I love the shape of the backs.  I was very happy to discover they were sturdy as well, and the $10 price on the set was the last straw…they hopped in my car and came home with me!
A quick paint job and new seat covers were all these chairs needed. I used a grey/black paint in order to better contrast the black and white of the gingham. I think it works!
It took me a while to finish these up, and (as always!) I did not want to sell them, but my little house did not offer up any corners to keep these.  Taking the pictures of them around my table made it extra hard to let them go since they looked great!
I love how they look around my dining table.
