Attach wood blocks to legs?
Hi Have a solid oak dining table needed to be raised up 6" for optimum height of a cutting out table in my sewing room. What's the most secure way to attach the 4 pieces of wood to the bottom of the legs?

Bun feet are a great idea and there are lots of styles of 'feet' available. Check in your local home improvement store.
What about adding casters? Then you could move it around easily. Unless you want it to stay in place all the time, of course.

I would buy bun feet at Lowes or home Depot, They come with screws that attach to the bottom of a leg. And they come in different heights.

A pic of the legs would be helpful, but using some steel bar that is screwed or bolted to existing and extensions would work. You could also just usse some 2 or 3" steel square tubing if you have a friend with a welder...

Thanks for this idea, was worried that the table would wobble on 4 bits of wood. I like how 2 long bits sound more secure. Off to the DIY store to see if they have 2 pieces available. Thanks again
