How do I fix ugly closet doors?

The sliding doors are plain wood, large and are in a little girls room.

    Hi Alicia, you can add trim to make them look more stately. You could also consider paint or even wallpaper. I know folks have also been converting sliders to hinged doors too.

    I happened to be in a home decoration store yesterday and happened upon a cabinet that had a beacg scene painted on burlap and glued to the two doors. Really very cute and I would think the same concept could apply to sliding doors. Another idea would be to put up pictures of family and fun times in some flat picture frames with a temovable (like the ones used on a refrigerator, you could cover to a room theme).

    What if you added molding to the top half or third of the doors and painted the inside with magnetic paint so you can put up art work of the front door and then used blackboard paint on the lower half or 2/3's so she can doddle on the doors

    You could paint them and put on vinyl to decorate them. You could use flowers, polka dots, or another simple pattern vinyl. I would only use vinyl if you're sure she won't peel them off.
