I currently have stinky dirty carpeting in my living room and I want to replace it with a durable flooring that can stand up to dogs and kids.
Does having a paint over a popcorn ceiling change how I'd remove the popcorn ceiling?
I want to spruce up my walls with peel-and-stick wallpaper. Has anyone used this before and can advise me as to how to apply it properly?
I've heard staining is a good technique for updating floors. So how do I stain my wood floor?
Do you know how that was done?
I was told that paint for wood or concrete floors would work. Has any one tried this? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
You could add some decorative molding on the doors, and definitely replace the knobs.
Paint.

Strip the finish off the piece, take it back to bare wood. Decide to paint or stain.i agree with Marion, paint or replace the knobs. Personally I am a plane jane type person, what’s put inside should be the main show
If you want to paint it, this is a great tutorial on how to paint furniture. https://www.arayofsunlight.com/2018/11/how-to-paint-furniture.html
You could paint the entire piece, but you could paint just the inside with a bright color and paint the knobs or replace them. I would also paint the legs.
Helen: Hope this will help!

I would do a chalk paint with a distress color underneath like a navy blue then gray over it
I would paint it with chalk paint. Nutural on the outside, with a pop of colour on the inside or the doors. This will bring it bang up-to-date. Use as a display case or drinks cabinat.
If you want to cover scratches, use Howard’s Restorafinish. Be sure you wipe off well. New knobs a must.
Funky? But then the colors are awesome.
