Remove the seat portion (usually attached with screws underneath.

Remove old fabric, batting and foam pads. If the foam and batting are still okay, they can be reused but the often need replacing.

Cut fabric in the shape of the seat and large enough to wrap around and cover the batting.

With the seat upside down, pull the fabric tight and staple on a side. Next, staple the side opposite the first staple. Continue alternating around the back, pulling tight and stapling.

If an area gets a wrinkle or doesn't look right, you can always pull a couple staples out and redo it. Good luck!

Turn the stools over and take the cushions off then I would just get a new piece of material and staple it on center the piece under the top then staple it on then pull and staple pull and staple keep checking to make shure its smooth on bottom.

This is a very easy project. I would buy treated fabric from JoAnns or Hobby Lobby so they stay clean.

Both the instructions above are great. Have fun doing this project.
