The farmhouse look is all about paint and rustic wood. So the easiest thing to do would probably be to paint it and use a chippy or chalk finish.
Sand the top down to natural wood and stain it. Then paint the legs and apron white with a distressed finish (sand it on the edges to look like it's worn.)
