Yes you can! I'd be very careful when moving furniture pieces around on it afterwards so as not to ruin your hard work! Paint can/wil transform most anything. I've not done any paint on ceramic other than stenciling letters, which worked very well.
Just an fyi. You can do a wonderful paint job over tile just know it's a very delicate finish and it chips, scratches and peels easily. Best in rooms that gets very little traffic like a guest bath. It's a lot of work that in a few years you will only end up with a ruined tile floor. Personally I'd just get an area rug.
