Ceiling fix?
We removed a wall and now need a temporary fix until the ceiling is repaired. This board needs to come down to access electric and make way for the ceiling repair however I need something temporarily to make sure the attic insulation is not exposed .
suggestions?

You could just use a heavy-duty stapler to adhere some heavy plastic sheeting as a temporary fix until the permanent repairs are done.
Thinking just leave the board up until you are ready to make the ceiling repair along with the electric. Move the wires aside to the wall.
Or as Janice suggested staple up heavy plastic sheeting.
I think they still make styrofoam beams that look like real wood with a channel in the middle you could put up with clear silicone and tuck existing wires inside.
You could put plastic up and staple to the sheetrock. Make sure to use a thick plastic so that it doesn't tear. It will hold in place along with providing a moisture barrier.
I agree with stapling a strip of plastic sheeting to cover the opening until the repair can be made. You can also reroute the electrical wires and leave the board up. Just plug the holes with some caulk.
I'm not seeing exposed insulation in your picture. Some caulk may be all you need.
I would leave the board up and use zip ties to keep the electric out of the way until you can fix the ceiling.
Depending on how long of a time period 'temporary' will be, if you think the plastic might be too unsightly, once the beam is removed, to hide the mess, you might consider attaching a narrow curtain valance/fabric runner flat up against the ceiling
hang a piece of fabric or some sort of sheeting to cover it
Use screws in hooks to hold wiring
Tack up some card board over the spot that should cover it temporarily.
Yes staple plastic sheeting to cover that opening while you run your wiring etc. It is easier to run wiring without the gyprock up there.
