Can cool seal roof coating be put on asphalt shingle roof

Live in Florida with black shingles on roof. Makes for very high electric bill

Get a can of Cool Seal - read the directions, it will tell you if you can. I've seen it done, but it looks like what it is - painted shingles. Good idea for a hot roof though. -

Why would they use black shingles in Florida? Yikes! I would completely reroof the entire house and add attic fans while you are at it. If that is an option for you.- See 1 previous

You can get someone to use the new spray foam and have the space between the rafters in the attic covered....it will definitely cut your cost of electricity.
