You can paint them!
You can paint over the existing tiles. They make paint specifically for that.
You can paint them but know that will only be a temporary fix. You could get some peel and stick tiles or tile stickers. Ultimately, you might be best served weighing whether saving money to replace is better than spending money several times.
Tile on top but remember not to buy tiles that are same size or when fitted match the grouting of the old tiles. (Start in middle of old tile so that doesn't happen)
Use Tile Covers - many colours and even metallics! or tile over the backsplash, but across the 4 joints in the tiles so you don't end up crouting in the same places as before.
Paint them or use vinyl.
You could always change the color of the grout. Mapei makes grout refresh in several different colors. That will help change the look. It is tedious but easy to do and has a built in sealer.
