I would start by laying it out on a piece of graph paper first so that it is symmetrical on all sides. In other words, you don't want to end up with whole pieces on one end of the table and cut pieces on another! (Do this even if the table is round!) Once the pattern and placement is set up, start from the center and work out. Apply mastic , then set the tile with spacers. Once the mastic dries, apply grout and a grout sealer, if desired!
