I'm considering using Homax Tough as Tile for a sink.

Is it better to use the spray or the brush-on type?

Hi! I've only used Rustoleum's kit for a project. Brushes worked best for me. You need a small roller and lots of ventilation, too. The spray would have been too much odor and overspray for me. Stay safe!

Refinishing My Kitchen Sink
Hi Mike. I would use a sponge brush (that you can buy at the $ store) because they don't leave brush marks. Good luck Mike. Stay well and healthy.
Hi Mike, here's a great video that reviews Homemax Tough - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjgf4IOE0dY Since you'll be using it as a tile around a sink, I would apply it with a sponge roller brush to avoid getting brush mark that may make it difficult to wipe clean.
Unless you can bring the sink outside, I'd go with what others have said and use a brush roller or sponge tipped brush rather than a spray.
I'm not sure about the fastest, but there are lots of gutter cleaning ideas here:

Hello Mike, I think if you use a foam roller & brush, you will get way better coverage. It is meant to have a texture. Using the brush and roller, and you will not have to bother with cleaning the brushes and roller.
Hi Mike, I’ve used them both. The foam brush or roller is my choice. It goes a lot further. Regardless of choice, the prep and tape will make or break the outcome. The area can never be too clean, follow the instructions, mask off with the green painters tape, and take your time. Don’t forget to ventilate the area, the smell lasts for days. Good luck!
Hello I would always tend to go with what the instructions recommend. Or call the customer support number. It’s important to follow directions precisely to have the best possible results.
