How about as a whimsical planter?

Oh jeez! I have been looking for one every since my aunt sold hers! I love them! But you could make an awesome bench with it.

I have made what I call rolling bookcases and typically use arched bed rails for the top shelf. It gives them a unique look and easier access to the second shelf. I have used short lengths of salvaged flooring for the lower shelves but you could use pallet wood.

Use the headboard as a back for the bench. Cut the footboard in half for the armrests . If you still have the old rails from the sides that were made of wood , those could be cut to be the seat of the bench. Throw some cushions from the dollar store on it and you have a wonderful and new creation . Whatever you decide to do, please post pictures and have fun !
