How can I upcycle large margarine lids?
Do you have any ideas for margarine kids? For some reason my mom has been collecting them for years. Trying to find a way to do something with them. It's been a long standing joke that they were going to be a wedding gift as China for her great granddaughter ❤️I haven't figured out A way to make them look like a dish. Maybe someone else had already done this.

April, it is great you want to upcycle your margarine lids! I typed "margarine lids" in the search box and upcycle to find you one choice, but there are others that might give you some creative ideas. Hope this helps: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/steampunk-mosaic-coasters-17371973

April, do you remember Shrinky Dinks? I believe you can use these lids by cutting designs, drawing on them and then shrinking in a 300 degree Fahrenheit oven. The plastic is supposed to be polystyrene. I'm not sure what type you have, but I think there are several types of plastic that will work.
I use them in potted plants. I put some gravel/pebbles in the bottom of the pot in a single layer, then place the margarine lids above them. If it's a tight fit in the bottom of the pot, I might punch a few small holes in the margarine lid. This process keeps the potting soil from being washed out of the drainage holes in the bottom of the planter, but still allows drainage.
