I want to make lamps out of empty, fancy, clear liquor bottles.

Also shades to go with them. What can I fill them with? And how do I make a hole for the cord?

I made this lamp and filled it with glass beads to weigh it down as well as hide the cord. You will need a drimmel and a diamond drill bit for cutting glass. I bought the shade at Lowes.
