Hi Johna,
Here's some very creative ideas:

The first 2 things that come to mind are a mirror or picture frame for the bathroom.
Put some shiplap type boards behind the opening and then add a few hooks to hang towels in the bathroom. Similar to the thankful mirror frame in this picture. You could use lathe strips.
John: a bathroom mirror might be the only appropriate idea.
Picture frame?
They would make an excellent top to a recycle bin.
I wouldnt hang a toilet seat on the wall haha unless it was a joke

My cousin varnished an old toilet seat and used it as a picture frame. The woodworking was great. He loved it. His wife and everyone else hated it.
It wound up hanging in his garage.
Sometimes I think some things just don't need upcycled. I commend your effort. Hope you find something fun to do.
I saw one where someone used it as a portal/ door on a chicken coop for the chickens to go through and it was so cute
Attach a mirror to it from the backside and use as a frame.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I think I am going to make a Cloakroom
Mirror (for my Nautical room) that will be like a Lifebelt with rope . I think I will also give it either a shelf or a towel rail and maybe somewhere to hang a face cloth or two. Be well and keep safe and of course - Carry on DIY and Crafting.........
