How would you make these ugly closet doors look nicer?
They just look so plain and out of place. I'm currently renting and everything in the apartment looks so nice except for these closet doors. What can I do to make them look nicer/more expensive? TIA

Your decorating looks lovely. When I see these doors I think, all white. White hinges, white handles/knobs. You can introduce "expensive" by the wall to the left of the doors. More color/art there.
I have bedroom closet door similar to yours. After a fresh coat of white paint I am going to add decals. That way I can remove them if I want and they will coordinate with my room colors. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=bedroom+decals&i=garden&ref=nb_sb_noss_2
Hi Jaqueline , you can paint them a complimentary color, or put a designed mac tac on them to perk them up, perhaps a beach wood design or something.
I don't think they're that bad. I would place art next to them to draw attention to that instead of the doors.
I would add faux paneling, change the handles to knobs and paint the doors off black to add contrast to the room.
How about words of inspiration that can peel off, since you are renting.
You can use peel and stick molding since it is an apartment. This way you can take it off when you move and maybe just have to repaint it white.
I would also put something on the wall to the left. Something with color or go to Kirkland's and get a nice mirror reasonably priced.
You could use a peel and stick wallpaper to add a pop of color or print. Or since you have the gold accents, maybe get a thin strip of gold metallic washi tape and do thin vertical pinstripes on the door. Vertical stripes help elongate the room, making it look taller and larger. You could also mount flat mirrors on the doors with command strips. It’s rental friendly, and will help light reflect, making the room seem larger and brighter.
I would use some peel and stick wallpaper! Easily removed when you move!

Make sure you get permission from the landlord in writing before doing anything.
Pretty easy, and inexpensive, to find curtains , etc. with fool the eye designs. Maybe change the doors to look like you are looking out onto a garden or out onto the beach? Attach thin curtains or shower curtain flat onto doors with double stick tape. Liquid starch used like wallpaper paste does the trick too- item peels off easy when it's time to move with a wipe down of door.
If you're allowed to paint, how about a shade of gray since that's what's on your headboard and bed linens?
