Board and batten shutters for tropical cottage. Easy to make with any wood appliques design.
Measured windows, making sure the sizing would be authentic to closure if warranted. Mine do not close but could with correct hardware.
1 × 4 pine boards cut to desired length, fastened with batten cross boards in 1 ×3 pine.
Drew starfish, traced onto craft board, cut out with a jigsaw.
Painted starfish with base coat white primer, then with acrylic paints. Attached with self drilling wood screws from behind after gluing first with carpenters wood glue.
