Do your burner grates get full of sticky food residue? The stuff does not come off easily with soap and water, but I have found a solution that is extremely easy and effective!
Food and grease splatters create some rather disgusting looking burner grates. Here are mine prior to cleaning. I know. Gross!
To get them clean, you'll need some ziploc bags and ammonia. Ammonia smells terrible, so make sure you work in a well ventilated area.
Do you see these grates? Can you even believe they are the same ones that were covered in grease and grime? For the full tutorial, click HERE.
Sharing easy cleaning tips is something I do all the time over on my blog...

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
Could you put the grates in a large covered plastic tote?
So would soaking some ammonia on the part of the stove top that the grates sit on work? It can't be removed, so I'm wondering about just soaking a washcloth in ammonia and spreading that out on the stove top. Or do you have a different idea for that?
How about oven racks? Any good ideas? I’m not real fond of those when I turnover units.
Thank you 😊
