Dont’t you just love to turn everyday objects to fun wall decor. I had this big oval silver like Dollar Tree plastic tray that I bought to serve food on our patio that was just calling my name. In my eyes it would make awesome surface for a statement wall decor idea for my kitchen. I know that you can recreate this Dollar Tree project any year so I decided to share. When I made this project I was on buffalo check wagon so I decided to incorporate that too. Who is ready for some wall fall decor diy? Who doesn’t love easy Dollar Tree DIY? Not me. - Supplies needed to create fall pumpkin wall decor metal textured pumpkin yard stick
- oval Dollar Tree platter
- acrylic paint in 3 colors
- Chalk paint
- painters tape
- pearl ribbon
- jenga blocks

Just because all pieces are different colors It was a good idea go give all one plain white coat of paint. My goal was to paint a buffalo check pattern on the tray. Wanted to have nice background for my pumpkin. Since I already made a post about easy way of painting buffalo plaid check I will this time go quick over each steps . Love patterns so I try them all different ways. Tried it traditional way but i think diagonal is my favorite! Check HERE all details on how to paint buffalo check easy
Buffalo background to my fall wall decor
Tape your pattern and paint with lightest color of your choice exposed areas
Dry all well before removing tape and tape again in the other direction
Don;t remove tape yet since we need to paint one more coat of darkest color to bring 3D element to buffalo check pattern. You could also free hand that but I think taping was easier
When all dries perfectly remove your tape and enjoy your buffalo pattern
Since I have abundance of Mardi Grass necklaces I decided to add them to my project of course after I paint them white
Little bit of hot glue and my edgeging was done. Love me my buffalo check Dollar Tree wall fall diy already!
Just because I wanted my Dollar Tree pumpkin to have even more dimension to already beautiful metal pattern i decided to outline section of if with some tiny pearls and little bit of gold . This project was so much to create. Love me already my Dollar Tree fall metal pumpkin diy
Since I already had so many gold accents I decided to bring some gold streaks to my buffalo pattern and install my Dollar Tree metal pumpkin raised up with a help of couple of jenga blocks
