Thrift Flip - Chicken Wire Shadow Boxes - Designs By Gaddis

Incredible Thrift Flip - Chicken Wire Shadow Boxes
I found these three boxes in my stash, saw a pin on Pinterest that used similar boxes, and decided to try it.
I cleaned the boxes to remove all the dirt and grime from them and then took them outside a gave them a couple of coats of Rustoleum Flat Gray spray paint.
I let them dry completely before moving onto the next step.
After the paint was completely dry I cut down some chicken wire and stapled it to the back of each box with my staple gun.
Some of the staples didn't go the entire way in. I used a hammer to nail them in completely.
I got some of these little dowels ends from my Amazon store.
I stained them with Waverly Antiquing wax using a small paint brush and removed the excess with a paper towel.
I hot glued 4 of the little legs to each box.
And look at how stinking cute they turned out.

I agree, those are so stinking cute, I’m going to check out my stash and see what I can find, I already know I got the chicken wire lol. I just love farmhouse looks and always looking for ideas to help my son furnish his house that he’s building😊
Thanks for the inspiration,
Susie
