Repurposed Kitchen Cabinet to Coffee Table

When we were giving our basement a makeover, I needed a new coffee table, but I wanted it to be a little smaller than the average coffee table size. I also wanted it done, like, today, because my son was coming to visit and I just needed something to there.
Repurposed kitchen cabinet as a coffee table
While perusing the local thrift store I spotted and old kitchen cabinet. You know the sturdy kind that they used to make back in the day? And bonus: it was just the right size!
This transformation really didn't take much. We cut 4 2x2 pieces of wood down to about 4 inches. Sanding and smoothing edges of course.
Centered and drilled pilot holes in the legs. (see details for attaching legs on the blog post)

Then centered and drilled standard size holes on the back of the cabinet.

Lined up legs and attached with wood screws through the inside of the cabinet.
Now it's a sturdy little piece of furniture that fits quite nicely in our basement tv room.
