Washi Tape Vase: A DIY Gift for Thanksgiving

It all started with a plain old vase I had in my closet for years and some washi tape. The next thing I knew I had beautiful fall home decor in less than an hour.
I'd never used washi tape for a craft project before and was inspired to try using it to make a DIY gift for a friend.
You need:
Run washi tape vertically down the sides of a vase and trim the edges.
Cut out the Give Thanks tag you downloaded from Kenarry: Ideas for the Home and apply it to the side of the vase using Mod Podge. Before applying the tag to the vase, I wrote a little inscription on the back side so my friend would see it anytime she fills the vase with flowers.
Trim the edges of the message with small pieces of washi tape to give the vase a whimsical look. Use Mod Podge to make the entire vase weather resistant.
Once the Mod Podge dries, you're ready to fill the vase with your friend's favorite flowers and deliver to her doorstep with a note of gratitude for all she's meant to you this year.
