A Happy Yellow & Aqua Kids' Bathroom

After living with a half-finished kids' bathroom for over two years in the house we built, it was finally time to complete once and for all! My husband and I set aside a few days this Fall to give our three daughters the cute bathroom that I had originally planned for them. It's inspired by sunshine and blue skies, and there's lots of fun DIY elements incorporated.
I painted the bathroom a fresh, light aqua colour, and the found inspiration for the accent colours from this beautiful shower curtain I found.
Here's what the bathroom looked like before we finished it.
I made this handy hook wall with beadboard wallpaper, baseboard and hooks.
Then, my hubby framed the vanity mirror with casing. I finally caulked and painted all of the trim in the room.
We added a backsplash to the vanity that matches the accent tile in the shower.
I also lengthened the store-bought shower curtain by adding a panel of coordinating fabric and trim.
The look is complete, and everyone loves it! It's a much happier place to brush teeth in now! For more photos and details, please visit my blog post.
