DIY Dollar Store Christmas Centerpiece

I LOVE the Dollar Store or Dollar Tree because they have amazing things for crafts and change their inventory almost daily.
During the holidays all you need is a little imagination to make some Christmas decorations and ornaments out of items there.
This is one thing I made using candy canes and they always have $1 vases there...perfect for a centerpiece....or gift.
I used a glue gun to secure them and made sure they wouldn't be too long as to impede it from sitting flush to the table. Wonderful as a host gift too! Easy and only cost me $5 total! See this and more easy DIY projects on The Typical Mom blog.

My daughter is grown, but back in 2nd grade they made these with candy canes, ribbon and a plastic cup. She brought it home with little chocolate bells inside. Adorable.
