I was inspired by the star shaped dish found in a thrift store in May for this Christmas decor. Now I "finally" get to share my inspiration with you!!
I've collected thrift store dishes for years. They're great to decorate with and use on the dining table.
This project was easy and took just over an hour. I did spend too much time arranging and rearranging. We're enjoying the soft glow of the lighting in the evenings.

This project starts with washing the dishes. Most spend time in our dining room hutch. How do dishes get dusty in a cabinet??
Peel and stick hooks made this a quick project.
I used the back side of wrapping paper with the square cutting lines to layout the plates. It would have been faster to just hang them. :?
I though it would be interesting to add lighting. To avoid wires I used small battery led lights.
Here's my finished dish Christmas Tree. We are loving the lighting each evening. I'm planning a permanent and less holiday version.
Enjoyed the project?

Sandra Crosbie on Dec 19, 2015I really like it. It is different. I don't usually like dishes on walls either. But you made it interesting.
