Decoupage is one of my favorite crafts. There's something soothing about working with paper, scissors and glue. Simplicity, coupled with creativity can have some lovely outcomes...

Just a few simple steps!

For this technique, images are placed beneath a glass surface - in this case a couple of inexpensive plates. Dollar Store candle holders become the pedestals for the finished project.

Using basic materials that most of us have, it's easy to create a polished and elegant finished product. I love Mod Podge for this, and I use Silicone Adhesive to join pieces of glass together. A Bondo Spreader from the auto parts store makes it easy to smooth the decoupaged paper.

With the addition of stencils and metallic craft paint, an extra dimension of glamour is added...

The finishing stage is so simple: just a quick coat of high quality spray paint, and you've trapped the imagery between the glass and the paint, creating a shimmery and elegant finish.

It's fun, takes very little time, and the results are so worth it! Please visit Thicketworks for the complete step-by-step instructions for this lovely project. Thanks!
