I found this vintage fabric at a flea market and fell in love with it right away. I'm slowly decorating a room at our lake house in Wisconsin and I thought this would go well with the "vintage camp" theme I'm going with. I actually used the fabric to extend some drop cloth curtains I made, and then used the leftovers for these throw pillow covers.
I love the bright colors, especially the green!
I used a fabric fusing sheet and ironed it to the back of the fabric, and then used my Silhouette to cut out the lettering.
I ironed the words onto the pillow, and top stitched over the edge of the letters in "lake".
I'll bring the pillows up next time we take a trip to Wisconsin, and I think they'll work nicely in the room. For more details on how I made these pillows, along with all the work we've done on our 1970s ranch (on a major budget), please head on over to my blog.

Hi!
Did you top stitch over lake for decoration only? Can you wash these later?
Thanks! Beautiful Job!!
