Turn an ordinary mason jar into a beautiful sea glass candle holder with this easy DIY! A frugal decor option, this jar took only a few hours of time, a few items already in your craft stash and less than $5!
Ready for a beautiful sea glass mason jar candle for your beach inspired space? Your only a few steps away!
First we have to mix up the paint mixture. This definitely took a few tries, but I was able to concoct the perfect School Glue, Water, Food Coloring, and Dish Soap. Yes, dish soap!
Then paint on the mixture to the outside of the jar. Even strokes is key to a beautiful sea glass look! Allow to fully dry. You'll notice the jar has that frosted sea glass texture when it dries.
Add jute to the lid area for maximum beach-y feel, for LOW cost!
Get creative! Add jute ribbon with glued on shells (these were from our trip to Sanibel!), or add your own personal touch
Add sand and a candle of your choice to complete the mason jar transformation!
And done! Get the full DIY (including the sea glass paint recipe) on the blog at Raising Whasians!
