Budget Decorating

Hey everyone! I wanted to share with you my easy and budget friendly updates I did with some thrifted Goodwill Paintings, repurposed picture frames, vintage floral prints and pillows I had laying around the house in storage to create a new eclectic/boho look for my living room. Spring
I found these two paintings at the Goodwill a few months back. I originally had thought they would look good in my bedroom just as they were but I soon decided I wasn't liking it so I stored them until one day as usual I got really bored and wanted a change. LOL. I painted the frames white with a milk paint I had laying around and hung them on my living room wall.
A few other paintings I found that go me inspired...
After...I painted the frames white which made the colors in the paintings pop! I needed a filler on the bottom so I just took out some photos I had in these frames, cut out some vintage floral prints from a garden book I scored from a flea market and taped them over the white paper. I left the paper fringed and I love the look.
Yes...There is suppose to be lots of pillows and they are suppose to be mix matched. ; )
I went downstairs and got all my pillows out I had from previous decorating experiences and just grabbed a variety of colors and threw them on my sofa. I really wanted a eclectic/boho feel.
I love bringing the outdoors in. I have lots of plants and painted birch trees around my windows so these pictures are perfect for my living room. I love mixing old with new and stepping outside the "box" when decorating.

Lisa House on May 19, 2016I am doing the same thing to all the framed art work in my new bedroom except I am using a variety of jewel tones to match my comforters. Thx for sharing. ( great minds think alike!)
