"Georgia peaches" in upstate New York! It took me 4 years of attempts--- but, the 5th year took!!! And ALL I planted was a 12 inch twig!!! These have made the BEST pies!!
Last year was my 1st attempt at growing Eggplants!! I was so pleased----this year I hope to grow MORE eggplants!!!
All growing in a "moveable, raised bed" on my asphalt driveway!!!!
fresh organic tomatoes! This is my FAVORITE veggie to grow, EVERY year!!! Then, in August- September--- I start making my homemade sauce!!!

I had to dig up the last of my red raspberries because I couldn't fight the Japanese beetles. Now they are starting on my blueberries. I live in rural Western New York, south of Buffalo. Any suggestions to stop these horrible pests?

Yes---"soapy water" IS too much work---and if you "kill them by squashing them--- it attracts MORE of them!!!" This " strong, Cedar water tea" actually gets RID of them!! Good Luck!!

Hi Irene!! I had a friend of mine ( who lives down there now )---mail me up a " stick"!!) YOU are lucky enough to live down there, so, I would call around to a few "garden stores", and see if they have any Dwarf Peach Trees started? ( if you can't locate a friend willing to hand you a "twig to soak & root"!!). Mine took years-ONLY- due to living in the harsh North east! They would die in the Winter!! I had to try a few different times ( starting with a new twig, each year!) If it "takes"--- you will get peaches in the second year!!!!
