Oms2226782 on Jun 20, 2016It's so easy, you spread mod podge on the wood and glue the picture face down and let it dry for 24 hours then mist water on the back and rub the paper off, the mod podge sucks in the ink and only the picture remains. I have used both matte and gloss mod podge with the same results, the photo has to be inkjet not laser and you have to re-wet and rub several times, it will look done when it's wet but as it dries it will cloud over, you will know you're done when it dries and the photo is clear. It's messy and time consuming but cheap and easy. practice on scrap wood with a cheap photocopy and don't rub too hard, if you don't paint the wood first the grain will show through, which can also look very cool. If you google mod podge photo transfer a ton of tutorials come up. This is a photo on unpainted wood
