Thank you Rocky Mountain Decals for sponsoring this tutorial, all opinions are my own.

Pretty sure we have all heard of peel and stick wallpaper, it is a no brainer for people wanting a quick and easy makeover for walls, and is also renter-friendly. It is 100% removable and will not damage your walls.

But how about using peel and stick wallpaper on furniture?

Look at my sad dresser crying out for a makeover.

I have painted this dresser more times than I care to admit and was looking for something new and unique.

Enter Rocky Mountain Decals!

A Canadian based company that ships worldwide.

Working together we chose this beautiful paper called Peony Floral.

It is a black design on a white background. Isn't it pretty?

Made from premium woven texture wall fabric with an adhesive backing

It is kid safe, food safe, splash proof, BPA/VOC free wall fabric, and Greenguard certified latex ink.

I begin by prepping my dresser. Always clean well first before you sand.

I need to apply an even colour on the drawers so opted to use a white primer that requires no cure time.

If you plan to paint first, Rocky Mountain suggest waiting 21 days for the paint to fully cure before you apply the wallpaper, this is on walls too.

I am way too excited to get going to wait that long!

With all my drawers primed and the body of the dresser painted black, I am ready for the fun part!

This is how the paper arrives, very neatly packaged, you get an easy-to follow instruction sheet and a squeegee decal applicator tool.

You also need a sharp bladed knife.

I was nervous at first about how easy it would be to cut and line up the pattern seamlessly if I received a roll of wallpaper.

Have no fear! Rocky Mountain has you covered.

You simply send them the width and height of your project and voila, they cut the paper for you. All lined up and ready to go.

The same applies if you are making over walls.

My dresser drawers measured 30" wide x 32" deep, Rocky Mountain sent me 2 sheets.

I also added in extra for the two tiny drawers at the top and for an extra project I wanted to do as well...

The sheets are numbered and the top of the pattern is marked.

Peel back the carrier sheet as instructed.

Line up the top edge with the top of the drawer, use the squeegee to smooth the paper.

Using a very sharp blade run the blade flush with the bottom of the drawer and the excess will fall away.

I lined up the 2nd sheet, stuck it in place and cut away the excess.

I did the same process on the 3 lower drawers.

The best thing is, if you mess up just peel the wallpaper off and re-position. Brilliant!

I am beyond thrilled with the outcome and the ease of application.

It took me less than an hour to attach the wallpaper to all the drawers.

I had just a little help from Dandelion!

And here is my finished dresser. I decided to use crystal knobs as I didn't want to detract from the beautiful design.

The Peony design is so pretty I created some wall art too. Doesn't it look stunning?

Imagine using a design on a feature wall and pairing it with a co-ordinating design on a piece of furniture.

Thank you so much Rocky Mountain Decals for offering such an amazing selection of designs, it really was so hard to choose.

Your dresser looks nice, also a nice ad for Rocky Mountain. I don't see any costs listed for your project, would Rocky Mountain do the same for me, free?

very cute without the mess, I’m in! Do you also use the decals inside the drawers or do you just paint them?

Fabulous job. If you do not want it anymore, just peel if off? I was thinking you can do this too much anything. Raised panels on my front door. I know they sell whole door fronts that can be put on this way on Amazon. I like the idea of being able to change the panel look only. Easier than a whole door sticker. Your cat is so cute. You did a great job promoting Rocky Mountain. I hope they give you a lot of freebies for the plug.
