10 Top Ways to Decorate With Old Windows

When it comes to old windows, I can’t help but swoon over them! I think if I could get my hands on every single one of these decorating designs, my house would look a little crazy! A little “window over board,” if you want to call it!
Okay so this is my photo I’m swooning over at my Instagram page(please follow if you haven’t already, for my latest creations and inspiration!) I would love to replicate this whole photo!
The Farmhouse Porch has really outdone herself here! I absolutely love, love, love this whole display! Stacking old windows and creating a vinette like this is really clever and adds great dimension!
This old window is amazing, right?!? I love the chicken wire Jo-Ann from A Pretty Life in the Suburbs added to the back of this window! She does amazing work, and check out this grapevine wreath she created as well! This sure is a rustic beauty!

While I'm new to this, I thought I'd share my idea. Tell me what you think, please. I have a basement we are trying to turn into a useable room. The cost of a drop ceiling was going to be over $6000. Kind of expensive. So I thought, why not use antique windows? Spray a few window glass with mirror paint. Pretty fabrics or wallpaper in others. Hang them from the ceiling with screw hooks and chains. Throw some Xmas lights on top. Shines through fabric and lightens the area. What do you think? Any suggestions?

This is such a nice post - you have some lovely photographs, especially on your blog. Liked the decal idea and also the one with the different colored panels. Also like the way you have set up your blog!
