A Mad Hatter Tea Party Tablescape

I had the opportunity to participate in a fun Blog hop featuring all kinds of interpretations of a Mad Hatter Tea Party. This was mine!
One of the really creative props I made was to use this frame and create a vertical banner of pages from an Alice in Wonderland book which appears as if it is flowing through the picture frame.
I set this up on my new dining room table in, room enough for guests to gather around, visit and share some tea and sweets.
Lots of clocks, watches and teacups were a part of this tablescape. I kept the colors all muted.
This gives you an idea of the entire table. There is a large mantel clock behind the frame and a fabric covered top hat perched above the clock with the book page banner flowing over it. I used an antique silver sugar bowl and creamer for serving with the tea.
These little bunny salt and pepper shakers nestled down on the moss table runner with a little faux pocket watch. Bits of lace seemed to be the right touch to add to the tablescape, too.
Here is a peak of the mantel clock tucked amongst the fabric covered top hats.
Mismatched tea cups were nestled amongst the florals, the book pages and the lace, upon the moss table runner.
This is a close up of the frame used for the banner to flow through. Almost like a "looking glass"! Come by for tea anytime, just don't be late!
