Stained Ombre Stencil Art

I used this awesome stencil treatment to update a Goodwill find. DecoArt's new multi-surface satin paints, a little distressing, and a once-over with some wood stain adds depth and character to this one-of-a-kind piece! Check out my blog for a full tutorial.
This was a fun project, and now I have a piece that is ready for gifting.
The "Before." My Goodwill find is just screaming for a new look.
Creating an Ombre affect with layers of color over my stencil.
Painting is complete; now time to remove the stencil.
Taking it to eleven with an antiqued finish.
My daughter is going to love this new easel complete with her very own paint supplies for her birthday next month!

Jenny, this is really pretty. I hadn't heard of this new stain/paint. I'm going to have to look into it. It sure looks great on wood!

@Jenny I think Martha Stewart's paint line is like that too. I've not had time to try it. Thinking I should just dump all my craft paints and start over. Thanks for the info.
