Control Those Garden Bugs Organically

As summer progresses our gardens mature, weeds grow and bugs breed. If you've been keeping a clean, healthy garden free of pesticides etc. you should have a healthy balance of bugs verses natural predator and things will pretty much take care of themselves. Sometimes though in spite of our hard work and best intentions pests can get carried away and become a problem. I still stand by the no pesticide rule in my garden. There are other ways to deal with these critters that work very well and help to keep the natural balance within your garden. Nancy McNail on Feb 12, 2014For the past two summers, I've had skinny dark brown bugs, about 1/2" long with red on their back, on my hybrid daylilies. The blooms are often dwarfed or misshapen. Does anyone know what these could be? (Missouri) Nancy
