This is a fun and fairly easy project. Today we're making a DIY wine bottle holder. It's a unique item which would make a great gift for the wine enthusiast in your family. Whether you need a unique birthday or holiday gift, there's nothing better than a handmade, DIY gift! You can even personalize, too!
What you'll need:
Once you've sanded your board, you'll need to drill a couple of holes in one end. These will be where the hanging twine threads through the board.
Next we applied a coat of stain. You can stain it any color you want. Remember, when staining, the longer you leave the stain on before wiping the excess off, the richer and darker your stain will be.
Feed the twine through your drilled holes. The twine should cross the front of the board like seen below.
Measure a piece of 5 inch wide burlap around your wine bottle and cut it accordingly. You want to measure around your wine bottle plus about 9 inches.
Your wine bottle holder is coming together nicely!
Next you can use paint or even use your Silhouette machine to add an initial to make it a personalized gift!
