Tinfoil is a Great Cleaning Helper!

My husband and I recently received a slow cooker as a wedding present - we BOTH love to cook in it! Highly recommend it for easy and tasty cooking! Especially now that winter is coming up...
While the cooking is pretty easy, when you leave the food cooking for a long time, some of the food can get burnt and REALLY stuck on the sides making cleaning more difficult.
This past weekend, after having had guests over and almost a full meal cooked in the crock pot, we were left with some heavy gunk on the sides. I was scrubbing and scrubbing with my sad sponge, when I suddenly remembered having seen a bunch of videos on Hometalk using tin foil as a cleaning tool!

I specifically remembered these post:

2) http://www.hometalk.com/diy/clean/house/how-t...
TINFOIL!!! I quickly grabbed my roll, cut off a small piece, lightly crumpled it up and got to scrubbing under the running water. Literally within a minute the inside of my pot was completely clean and no sweat off my back. I didn't have to ruin or blacken any sponges with the burnt food and cleaning got a whole lot easier (maybe even easier than the cooking!!)

Just wanted to pass on my success with the awesome cleaning tip that the awesome Hometalk community had to offer. It really works! Try it!
