Wood Burned Christmas Mug Hanger

I love putting together thoughtful and crafty gifts for friends and family. Gift baskets are a great way to make a thoughtful, yet inexpensive gift for a loved one. And they are so cute! I put together a DIY Hot Cocoa Kit that you could make for anyone on your gift list this year. In addition to the pre-packaged hot cocoa, mug, and other little treats that are part of this kit, I included a DIY wood burned mug hanger.
This is a lot easier to make then you might think! For a full list of supplies, and to learn where you can get that nifty little wood burner, head over to my blog from the link at the end of this post! You can also check out how I ended up incorporating this wood burned craft into a cute little DIY hot cocoa kit to gift to friends and family.
The first step is to print the template found over on the blog and trace a slight indentation of the outline of the words onto the wood surface. Don't press to hard though or you might rip through the paper!
After I got it all traced and ready to go, I wood burned over the design then went back in with the burner and filled it all in.
Once that was finished I added some little painted holly berries and hooks for the mugs, towels, or whatever else you want to hang!
I just love how this turned out! And it was super fun to make too! To let you know just how easy it was to wood burn this, it was my very first time every wood burning. I can't wait to make more projects like this!

Thanks so much for reading! And don't forget to stop by the blog for a more in depth tutorial and to get the downloadable template so you can make one of these festive little crafts for your own home!

Happy Holidays!
