Christmas Lighted Canvas - My Second Attempt

I just love the versatility of the lighted canvas idea/ This is the second one for me and slightly larger.
I had a large canvas that had been sitting in my craft room for a long time. I chose a bright red acrylic paint for the overall background but then I used a balled up piece of plastic wrap to add some "texture". Just dabbed the wet paint here and there. I used a blow dryer to make sure the paint was thoroughly dry before the next step.
I had some REALLY glittery wrapping paper (so much glitter that plain tape won't hold it) and cut a rough tree shape out of it and then glued it to the canvas. Let it dry completely.
Then I glued on dollar store ornaments, snowflakes and ribbon (used like a garland) and added my battery operated lights.
Added the words "Merry and Bright" with metallic permanent marker and I was all set.
Enjoyed the project?
