Restring Hanging Pots With Colorful Rope

I have had this hanging pot in my garage for the past 6 or 7 years unused since the rope rotted away. I thought it was time to get it up and running again and make it fun with some great colorful rope to liven it up a bit

Here is a pot that has been sitting in my garage, the old rope has worn away or broke, so it is time to fix it and put it to use!

Take some color rope, any color, or just use natural color if you wish, to help bring your pots back to life again.

to restring the rope through the hole is super easy, just tie it up at the top to make a loop to let it hang and you are set to go! Plant flowers or veggies and you are all set!! In this pot I planted tomatoes.

You can see a wooden mouting system I attached to my fence to hang my plants, I even attached a drip watering system to help water the plants.

Here is a video on how I re-strung and mounted this hanging pot. Don't just go buy a new hanging pot, take what you have or what you can get from a friend or neighboor to make it new and beautiful again!!

    Hi,

I have never seen a pot with circles on top. Is this a special pot you bought 6-7yrs ago?

awesome idea...can't believe I didn't think of this...so glad you shared! Now I can rescue at least 1/2 dozen of my own that are sitting in the back of my shed. They don't have that "circle" thing but I know there's a groove of some sort that I can use.

I really like your idea and will be using it but I have a little addition for you since you have young ones. I noticed the wee knot holes in your fence and remembered that many young at heart place marbles in the holes and thought this might be a great wee touch with your coloured ropes, or not. Sometimes the simplest ideas are just the best as I know most of us do not like the hard plastic hanging system the manufacturers make and they can be a pain getting the hook where we want it to go. Thanks for sharing the aha moment. Regards. Linda
