We're always redoing something...we have several rooms in various stages of transition, one of which is our bedroom. I am hoping to make it inviting with romantic touches and came across this project on Pinterest and decided to give it a shot!
Found matching lamps at Ross for $29.99 . Liked the height, shade shape, and little bit of sparkle of these lamps so picked up 2 - one for each night stand.
My husband and I have 2 wedding songs, actually - one from me to him and one from him to me. This is the lamp I did for my side - his song to me, Michael Buble's version of "That's All." I just "air wrote" the words first so I could see about how I should space it, then took a new Sharpie and started writing! If you have extra space, I'd suggest just starting the song over, again so you don't have to worry about being exact with the spacing or height of your lyrics. My husband REALLY liked them!!! And it was a great, simple, (like 10 minutes!) way to incorporate something very important and personal to us into our bedroom.
Suggested materials:
  • Fabric lamp shade   (Ross)
  • Sharpie marker   (Office Depot)
