**Scroll down to see the video**I have struggled at times when it was shower time. My dog is pretty good when she needs a shower. If the water stops for a split second she is ready to walk away. Making this shower helps free up both hands and pretty much wet her entire body at one time. If this seems like something you'd like to make I’ll take you through the steps I took to make his shower. Be sure to check out the video for more details. No glue was used for this rig it’s all dry fit, this way you can break it down and store it.
Hi friends! My name is Mauri and I blog at TheAmericanPatriette.com where I share ideas for all things home to help women bring beauty into their homes and ultimately make them places to gather. This particular project has been the most popular tutorial on my blog to date. I hope you love making it to bring some warmth, beauty, and a reminder of Truth into your home during the Christmas season! Here are the basic steps, but you can find the full details, including the specific materials I recommend, on my blog. Here's the finished pro
I have 3 boys and they all have a bad habit of swinging chairs on to 2 legs. Often it ends up with one of them swinging back too far and landing on the floor. Occasionally the strain is just too much for the chair and a leg snaps. Instead of throwing away the latest kitchen chair casualty. I decided to upcycle it into some unique kitchen storage just like I did with my awesome bathroom storage unit (see it here).

We are going to take a bit of a journey back in time today by doing some macrame. I know it was huge in the 70's, but it's back! Macrame is great for hanging wall pieces and such, but it can also be super functional! I decided to make a hanging chair hammock style with some macrame rope as the seating. A couple of wood dowels serve as the frame for this hanging macrame chair that can be made on the cheap and customized in the colors of your choice!
A while back Amy bought a hammock chair that was on sale at our local big box hardware store. We have been debating for some time how we wanted to hang it. After looking at our old rundown fixer-upper swing, we decided to dismantle the frame, trash the wood seat and shorten it up to make the frame for the hammock chair.
When we bought our house a year and a half ago, we knew that we had a lot of work ahead of us. We have a little ranch style house that sits on about 1.5 acres. You may even remember THIS post about the time we repainted our house, which was quite an undertaking! Well, this spring we wanted again to tackle another eyesore on the property and create a little area to sit by the front of the house and watch the kids play. Our kids like to color with chalk and play with the neighbors, but we always had to drag our back patio chairs up front to sit. So let’s take a look at our total Farmhouse Shed Makeover and how we turned our old shed into something that looks brand new for under $500!!I love a good before photo…so let’s take a look at the before:
Hello friends, I have a super easy project for Halloween. These Halloween balloon spiders would be great as party decorations or you can use them to decorate your house now. I’ll probably make more of these for my front porch on Halloween. They would blow away if I tried to put them up now.
If you live in a semi-arrid or desert region perhaps you have dreamed of a sharp looking yard with some succulent plants. This yard should inspire you with some ideas of your own! For around $100 you too can have a lovely yard, though it be small and located in a desert! The cost will depend on the cost of the retaining wall stones combined with your own tools and labor. In our area the wall stones can be bought at home improvement stores for about $1 each.
Did you know that air plants are powerful air purifiers? Or that they take up water and nutrients through their leaves? These fascinating plants are found growing on trees and rocks in their native habitats, opening up some wonderfully creative ways to display them in your homes.
Have ever wanted to build a piece of furniture with reclaimed wood? Then priced out the cost of reclaimed wood? No THANK YOU! I am going to show you how to make a potion for aging new wood. Guess WHAT? You can do it for way cheaper than buying reclaimed wood, roughly around $10.00! This post is pretty short and to the point because well....it's sooo super easy!
