What To Do With Your Sentimental Clutter

I have made a committment to get rid of all the clutter in my house. It's going much quicker than I thought it would. Until I get o the sentimental things. I'm a ridiculously sentimental person and have trouble letting go of things that have memories attached to them. Do I take the minimalists approach and toss it, or dig in my heels and keep it? Click our blog link to read my reasoning.

As far as getting rid of clutter but holding on to the memories, you have to pick your battles wisely. I took some of my most important mementos, such as baby shoes or hats or pieces of jewelry or small knick knacks and made shadow boxes. They come in all sorts of sizes, and it helps clear the clutter, you can display your memories or pack them away safely.

While my 2 girls were growing up I saved the usual assortment of stuff.. WHEN they BOUGHT THEIR FIRST HOUSE,,,, every visit I'd take a box- bag- WAS THEIRS,, THEY NEEDED to dispose of it.... was nice to have top of 2 closets again.. The rest of family stuff is still a work in progress.. I've collected smaller items sorted by names as I find them in things.. eventually will be a shadow box for each...
