So don't throw away that ugly brown chair that you have stashed away if it's solid has great bones throw some paint on it
The first year one a prime in once you primed it then add a coat of paint or two if you choose you can go ahead and distress it if not just go ahead and leave it the way that it is now embellish
Attach a nice pillow and walleye you have a beautiful chair updated and fresh
