If anyone comes up with a viable solution to these little devils they will be billionaires!! I've tried the gum, the traps, the worms, you name it I have put it down their holes. I even considered the Rodenator, but with my luck, it would hit a gas line and blow up the house while the moles sat there giggling. They go around the traps, probably blow bubbles with the gum and share the worms. They drive me insane and ruin the landscape!!! The best I have found so far are the step in scissor traps, but even those they figure out how to avoid. I would LOVE someone to devise a tride and true method of annihilation!
On the Body or in the garden?
Old wives solution ---- Take Doublemint gum (green pkg.) out of wrapper with gardening gloves on so there is no 'human' smell - roll into round shape & leave out for the little critters to eat.
I have a dog that's obsessed with any animal underground, she will dig big hole in the ground until she get it, even dig under the fence into neighbouring back yard, and finally got it, neighbor didn't mind at all, he said I should rent her out. I just fill in the holes, sorry .
Get a Dachshund. They were bred to go underground and get moles.
Cut jalepenos into quarter lengthwise and drop into each run.
Iโve used Cayenne Pepper (get a large bottle) and make holes two inches apart with a pencil on each of the burrows fill it with Cayenne Pepper and stomp it down. YOu donโt have to be careful, just try and get it in the pencil holes as best as you can. Flattening the burrows allows you to know when new ones appear and you keep on doing it when new ones appear. We had half of our yard full of these raised mounds and within a week of doing it to each of the new mounds they were gone. I believe watering it in also helped, similar to when you put too much pepper in a soup, it gets all over. It wasnโt harmful to my daughters puppy, she just sniffed a little and moved on.
I have used the whirligig garden windmills with good luck, they can be found in a garden center. Place on top of the burrow tunnels and by any holes. The vibration of the windmill irrates the mole and it leaves. Save the whirlygigs, as the mole may return.
The only time I had moles I used Sonic Probe, that emits a sound only moles can hear and they don't like it. I never saw any again. Purchased in UK
Castor oil or a windmill or whirligigs - they hate vibrations
One of the most common and effective mole and vole repellents is castor oil, which has an unpleasant taste and smell. Mixing three parts castor oil and one part dish soap with a gallon of water creates an effective repellent that can be sprayed on areas of mole activity. This is not only a repellent for moles; itโs also a good way to get rid of groundhogs, voles, and other rodents.

Poke a hole with your finger into one of the tunnels and put broken up unchewed Juicy fruit gum in there, repeat about 1 foot away from that, keep repeating that pattern. They ingest the gum and can't digest it.
Your yard probably has grubs, you need to get rid of them, try Grubex. Treat in June and then in the fall to break up their lifecycles.
