UPDATE: Since moving in our new house I have started to change my decorating style from Glam to Natural. I love the look of wood, black metal, brass, and white. So I decided to undertake a project to coincide with my new decorating style in the bathroom. I tiled behind the mirror above the sink with a white Subway that is 3 by 12. I did it in the vertical fashion. I also laid one by twos stained pecan on the ceiling. It gives it such a great Spa look. I hope you like the update!

I love the new house I've moved into however the bathrooms are small and ugly! For some reason the previous owners had installed ugly uneven and outdated cabinets above the toilet. Made the bathroom seem so small and outdated . That was the first project I wanted to tackle! After some thought I decided it was time to implement some Glamification!

Yuck right? I couldn't stand that cabinet above the toilet. It was uneven and just didn't belong. Unfortunately when I went to remove it it was held on by 8 Molly bolts as well as it was glued to the wall. Major repair ahead! Plus the walls are texturized so I had to retexturize in addition to repair.

Looks like larger already doesn't it? Now the work begins!

I prefer using the patch product that you can see when you apply but disappears when it dries.

This is the product I used for that as well as retexturizing the wall!

Time to paint! To go with the Glam Motif I was aspiring to have I went with this metallic paint. I will forewarn you it is very difficult to work with. It goes on very sheer the first two applications. I had to apply a total of 3 full applications but the results are absolutely amazing! It gives me the Glam look I was looking for and it is absolutely stunning. When the lights are on it has a beautiful metallic Sheen and actually makes the room look larger and more lively. The color I chose was called Rejoice. So Glam!

Since I was trying to achieve that Glam look these lights did not make the cut! But I do not have the budget to have the lights that I really want so time to redo those! I'll show you the before and after here but the how to will be in another post.

I love sparkles! And this though not fully complete in this picture will give me that Glam look for almost no cost! So excited how this bathroom is pulling together!

Now to pull it all together with a very glamorous shower curtain with rhinestone holders. Love love love this!

Voila! Mission accomplished! Very glam! Just what I wanted!

Our new spa bathroom. Under $200!
