I saw this door in Dollar general and loved it but it needed an update to fit my cottage/coastal decor! So I got to work.
Here is the before and while it was cute it was not my style. I got to work removing the wreath and the flowers on the wreath to use later on.
Here is what it looked like disassembled.
I the painted firts a layer of grey and then an aquaish color on top of that lightly.
While waiting for the paint to dry I began cutting up pieces of material for the rag wreath I wanted to make for the door.
Here is the adorable little rag wreath I made. Inkeot the bow it xmae with because either went well with it!
In the put a small anil and hammered it into the door and a dab of glue for good measure.
I then added a small starfish I had for an embellishment. I used the same tacky glue.
After making sure everything dried well I hung it in the wall in my kitchen and I love it. I think a bigger rag wreath for me door is in the near future! Thanks for joining me and I would love for you to follow us on FB at Sierra Stars Furniture and GIfts! 😊
