We are loving the design of this beautiful octagonal table from our contributor, Amy at HerToolBelt.. It's a lot easier to build than you would think. All you need is some simple lumber and a few tools!

Make sure to watch our video tutorial to make this process easy. We hope you love this project as much as we do!
Head over to the blog to get your free printable building plans. According to the cut diagrams and instructions, use a miter saw to cut your 2x6s, 2x4s, and 2x2s. Be sure to check the instructions for the correct angles.
Once all your cuts are made, use a pockethole jig to create the pocketholes for your boards.
Using wood glue and pockethole screws, attach the frame together.
Now that the frame is assembled, mark and attach the angled legs.
Carefully flip over the frame and legs you just attached and secure to bottom frame with brad nails.
Lay out your top 2x6 pieces, leaving a small gap.
Attach base to the top pieces once everything is lined up.
Now sand the table and get creative with stain or paint! If your table will be used outside, a good coat or two of poly is suggested.
Voila! What a perfect piece for those outside summer nights. You will love your new DIY table.

I love this table. I would love to know if and how I can convert it to be able to use it as a Dinning room table. Is that even possible? Please let me know
